We’re always happy to welcome new members. Members enjoy a fun, social and friendly atmosphere with hockey available for all ages and abilities – from established club league players to newcomers looking to experience the game.
Membership
Worthing Hockey Club (WHC) is fun, friendly and inclusive. We welcome all ages and abilities, from age six and up. When you join, you become a member of one of one of the largest and most sociable hockey clubs in Sussex.
WHC membership runs throughout the year. The regular hockey season takes place from September through to April, and we have an active off-season programme of events, friendlies and training.
We have over ten teams in our club, covering a wide range of ages and abilities, and offer a range of membership packages to suit everyone.
Membership includes access to high-level coaching, weekly two-hour training sessions, league match playing opportunities, coaching and umpire training development, annual social activities and fundraising events.
Training takes place on weekdays and weekends, with matches on Saturdays and Sundays from September to April. Our summer social hockey games are open to all.

Subscriptions & Match Fees 2023/24
- Adults £240, reduced to £192 if paid by 30th September 2023 (+ match fees below)
- Reduced Adult membership available*
- Adult Limited Play Social** £60 (upto 6 matches per season+ £15 match fee per match)
- Adult Social (Non playing only)*** £20
- Juniors (Under 18****) £60 (+ match fees below)
- Comets (Under 12) £60 (September to April – matches, camps and summer hockey extra)
- Full time education, if under 25, £60
* Reduced Adult membership available – these are reviewed and agreed by the committee case by case as a reduction on full adult membership.
** £60 limited play social membership allows access to clubhouse and social events as well as no more than 6 games per season. Above this threshold full membership rates apply.
*** £20 social membership allows access to clubhouse and social events only. No games and no training.
**** Aged under 18 on 1st September 2023 (school year 13 and below).
Match Fees
- Adults : £9 per match
- Social limited play adults : £15 per match
- Juniors and full time education : £6 per match
- Comets (under 12) : £3 per tournament
