Chairman's Update

14 April 2020 

Dear All,
Firstly I hope you are all well during this lock down period and staying safe. I think it is inevitable that the season is now finished and the last few games are very unlikely to be completed. We are still waiting to hear from the leagues how they will resolve things but we will let you know as soon as there is any useful information.

We have been keeping an eye on the clubhouse and all seems well although many of our plans for the summer will need to be deferred. We hope to get some social hockey later in the summer but it is unclear when the lock down will come to an end and this can get started. We will look to get this going as soon as we are allowed. Since the end of season events were all cancelled – we hope to have a Freedom Party at some point in the summer once this is all over. But we can only guess when this will be. Please keep a look out for information here.

There are several roles that need filling within the Club. Some of theses are key positions and without these being filled, the club will find it very difficult to operate properly and effectively. With this in mind, we are seeking new recruits with forward thinking ideas to help us make our Club as successful as possible, whilst creating an environment and community we can all be proud of. If you feel you have something to offer, and are willing to give some of your time to help make our club grow and thrive,then please get in touch.

Finally you should have been contacted about EASY FUNDRAISING. It is easy and it does raise funds for the Club. Please use this as it raises much needed cash and doesn’t cost you anything. In a nutshell – if you are buying something “online” and use this the Club gets up to 1.5% of the money you spend. This covers a wide range of purchases.
